Friends of the Upper Delaware River shared NYC Watershed's post. ...

This Friday (April 20) DEP will perform its regular annual maintenance on the gate tower at Cannonsville Reservoir. This exercise requires DEP to shut down the release into the West Branch Delaware River for up to eight hours starting at 8 a.m. We began to slowly ramp down the release yesterday evening to get from approximately 1,500 cfs down to zero over the course of two days. Those who live and recreate along the river should see little effect because water is also passing through the spillway at Cannonsville Dam. Please feel free to pass this information along to others!
