Jim Asselstine

Jim Asselstine retired in 2013 after a 40-year career in government and the financial services industry. His government service included a five-year term as a commissioner on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. In the financial services industry, Jim was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital where he worked as a senior fixed income research analyst following the electric power industry.

Jim is a past trustee and chairman of Trout Unlimited and is a current trustee of Resources for the Future, a Washington, D.C.-based environmental economics think tank focusing on issues including natural resources and climate change.

Jim is a resident of Tyler Hill, PA, and is an avid angler. He is also the founder, president, and director of the Dorflinger Factory Museum in White Mills, PA. He is an avid student of the history of the Dorflinger companies and the luxury cut glass tableware they produced in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
